Grand Crew is likely to be canceled. It’s NBC’s lowest rated show, and it was among NBC’s lowest rated shows last season. It was a mystery why it was renewed last season. A Twitter reply sparked a working theory that NBC is now giving its typically low rated sitcoms two seasons before canceling them. That’s worth tracking.

Nexstar purchased 75% of the CW network in 2022. CBS & WB now own just 12.5% of the network each.

Nexstar has a deal obligating them to carry CBS & WB shows on the CW for the 2022-23 season. Nexstar can renew the deal at its option on an annual basis and carry CBS/WB shows longer, but what it will do is anyone’s guess.
